As you walk through the front doors, you’re greeted by a warm farmhouse-style entryway featuring a large gathering table where individuals can work on independent living skills, socialize with friends, or simply enjoy conversation. A cozy seating area nearby provides a comfortable place to wait or relax.
One of the highlights of our Le Center office is its spacious kitchen area. The front of the building features two full kitchens, with a third full kitchen located toward the back of the office. These spaces provide plenty of opportunities for cooking, baking, meal planning, and developing independent living skills. Adjacent to the kitchens is a dining area with seating for up to 16 people, creating a welcoming place to enjoy meals together.
Just off the dining area, you’ll find our conference room, an accessible restroom, and one of our most unique spaces — the Sports Room. This multi-purpose room features handcrafted wooden spool tables beautifully decorated with wood-burned and painted sports designs. Whether it’s games, activities, meetings, or social gatherings, this room is a favorite gathering place.
Across the hallway is our one-of-a-kind Makerspace and craft room, thoughtfully designed by our very own Kim. It’s a dream space for anyone who enjoys crafting, creating, and exploring new hobbies. Nearby, we also have a staff training room that includes a computer workstation where individuals can build typing, computer, and technology skills.
Further down the hallway is what many consider the best room in the building — our Sensory Room. This peaceful retreat features a stunning hand-painted Northern Lights mural created by local artist Peggy Larkin. Soft LED lighting enhances the colors of the mural, creating a calming atmosphere. The room also includes a massage chair, sensory swings, an oversized bean bag mat, a comfortable lounge chair, and a variety of sensory tools designed to promote relaxation, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.
Next door is the bright and welcoming office shared by our two Program Managers, providing easy access and support for both staff and the people we serve.
Continuing down the hallway, you’ll find additional spaces designed to promote independence and community. On one side is a laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer for teaching in-office laundry skills, a theater room for movie days, and a full bathroom.
On the opposite side of the hallway is another large activity room that has become a favorite gathering place. With seating for approximately 24 people at four large tables, this versatile space is used for skill-building, games, puzzles, group activities, and social events. A large selection of games and sensory items is always available for everyone to enjoy. Just off this room is our third kitchen, providing even more opportunities for cooking and meal preparation, along with an additional half bathroom.
Outside, individuals can continue learning and connecting with others. Thanks to a generous family donation, we have a Blackstone grill that is used to teach grilling and outdoor cooking skills. Our private side parking lot can also be closed off for special events, transforming the space into an outdoor gathering area for karaoke, bean bag tournaments, picnics, live music, celebrations, and many other community activities.
Our Le Center office combines creativity, learning, recreation, and relaxation in one welcoming space where individuals are encouraged to build independence, discover new interests, and create lasting friendships.
