Mankato Office

Our Mankato office offers a bright, open-concept space designed to encourage learning, socialization, and independence. Originally a flooring business, the building has its own unique character and spacious layout that allows for a variety of activities and gatherings.

As you arrive, you’ll notice our community salsa garden located near the front parking lot. Individuals who are interested in gardening work together to plant, maintain, and harvest fresh vegetables throughout the growing season. As produce becomes available, everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of their hard work while learning valuable gardening skills.

When you walk through the front doors, you’ll find a welcoming dining and gathering area. This space is especially convenient for individuals who prefer not to use the stairs and includes a microwave, toaster oven, and comfortable seating for enjoying meals, practicing independent living skills, sharing a cup of coffee, or visiting with staff and friends.

Also on the main floor is our craft area, featuring craft supplies, beads, painting materials, and a wonderful collection of card-making and stamping supplies generously donated by a member of our community. A conveniently located restroom is also on the main level.

Located in the center of the main floor are the offices of our Program Managers, making them easily accessible to both staff and the people we support.

Our cozy living room area provides a comfortable place to relax while enjoying the Wii, dance games, Zumba, fitness activities, educational videos, or simply spending time with friends. Just beyond the living room is a larger activity space where individuals can work on goals, play games, complete puzzles, participate in group activities, and build meaningful relationships.

The Mankato office can comfortably accommodate approximately 60 people for larger events. When weather allows, opening the overhead garage door creates an enjoyable indoor-outdoor setting that is perfect for celebrations, social events, and community gatherings.

Upstairs, you’ll find a flexible meeting and dining space centered around a large square table that seats eight people or can be rearranged into two tables to accommodate up to twelve. This room serves as both our meeting space and dining area and includes a full kitchen with a center island for meal preparation, cooking classes, and independent living skill development. There is also a full bathroom on this floor.

Just outside the kitchen is a small private deck with two chairs, offering a peaceful place to enjoy the sunshine, fresh air, and a quiet moment to relax.

Our Mankato office combines creativity, independence, and community in a welcoming environment where individuals are encouraged to learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful experiences together.
